A Quote is Good for 14 Days

When you create a quote

on the portal…

It’s good for 14 days after it’s been created.

That means after 14 days, the quote will expire.

After 14 days, if you want to send an agreement to a customer for signing…

You’ll need a new quote. There is a short-cut for non-combo customers.

Sent Docs are Good for 2 Days

If you send docs to a customer, they must be signed within 2 days of being sent.

Once the agreement hits their inbox, the customer has 48 hours to sign it before it expires.

After 48 hours after sending, if the customer wants to sign …

You’ll need to re-send the agreement.

If a customer tries to sign expired docs they will get an error message telling them the docs are expired and no longer exist.

When you Send and Resend Docs

On the Active Quotes tab, after you send docs you'll see the Send Agreement button will disappear.
The Contract Expires date will will reflect the 48 timeframe the customer has for signing.
At any point during that 48 hours you can click the Send Reminder button to send an automated email to the customer.

After 48 hours the Send Agreement button will come back.
You can click it to resend. The customer will receive a new agreement email, and have a fresh 48 hours in which to sign it. The Contract Expires date will reflect that nee time frame.

The signing process for re-sent docs is the same:
  1. Sales reps receives an email with the docs
  2. Sales resp clicks to open, the initials the agreement
  3. Customer receives email with the docs
  4. Customer clicks to open then signs the agreement.

Expired Docs (over 14 days old)

Once a quote is over 14 days old it be listed on the Archived Quotes tab for 30 days.

A new quote must be made in order to resend.

With Solar-only and Storage-only quotes, you can hit Revive Quote

Land in Quoter Tool, Customer info is already populated.

Enter in the system information, submit and send.

For combo customers (solar + storage in a single quote):

If one side is signed (for example solar is signed) and the storage isn’t signed
The unsigned storage agreement will expire after 48 hours and be deleted.
If the customer wants to sign for storage later, you need to start with a new quote form scratch on the quoting tool.
