What happens on an HDM job after a customer is signed?
These are the steps from signing through the end of the HDM underwriting process
Signing
After signing and completing your confirmation call using the Callpilot app…
the video and recording of the call will be saved and loaded by HDM to the system.
Signing will move your project to the NTP milestone in the HDM Portal.
Your Ops team will have access and be able to upload required docs.
System Design
Your Operations team will create 2-D Drawings using CAD software. The system size in the plans must match your agreement.
Around the same time the NEM Application will be prepared and sent to the utility. The system size described in this doc needs to exactly match the size listed on the signed agreement.
NTP Notice to Proceed
Your
Operations team will upload the following required docs
Utility bill
NEM application
2-D drawings
Confirmation
call completion
Equipment Model#'s:2-D drawings
must include a BOM that lists FEOC/DC approved model numbers.
Once the agreement and docs are approved, the NTP Milestone will be complete
Installation
During the installation, the crew will need to take all the photos required by HDM.
The most commonly overlooked photos:
Photos of ALL installed panels
Front of the house from the street
Inspection
After the installation is complete…
Permitted systems will schedule a final building inspection.
A passed inspection results in the inspector issuing a finaled permit.
Note: PPA's Signed Before Final Inspection
If your project timeline gets mixed up because of a resign or some other reason, you must have a signed final PPA agreement before the building inspection.
Jobs with agreements signed later in the process cannot be sold to investors and therefore cannot be funded.
M1 (Milestone 1)
After installation your team will upload the following to the HDM Portal:
Close-Out Report (COR). This includes the installation photo
Signed Job Card (permit).
Material Invoice
Once these uploads are approved, the HDM team will send docs to your Ops team for signing and the M1 milestone will be complete.
In-Service Form
Once M1 has been completed, the system is sold to an
outside investor.
This step may take over a week.
Once completed, HDM sends the In-Service Form to the
installer which directs the installer to put the system into service.
M2 (Milestone 2)
As part of the M2 requirement the installer must upload the PTO letter to the HDM portal.
Your team will also need to share the monitoring access with HDM. HDM will use it to conduct a performance review to assure the system is producing as anticipated.
Once these requirements are met, the job will move to M2 Completed status
HDM will fund 17, 25 or 30% of system price after M2 milestone is complete.
